First Kiss!
Well, Little M had her first kiss this week at school. A little boy in her class found just the right moment when the teacher had turned her head to lay a big smooch on Little M's lips. When her teacher was telling me about it during pick up time, Little M just grinned from ear to ear. She has mentioned that B-R-O-D-Y is her boyfriend, and I must admit he is a cutie, but I think we are just a little young for this kissing business already! Of course, Big M told me today that the kiss was just "gross", and you need to be at least 12! Haha...let's hope both girls are a lot older than that when they begin dating and kissing.

Off to the Zoo!!
It's so hard to believe that we were enjoying a day at the zoo with 70 degree weather on Monday and today it was in the 30's and 40's here! We definitely took advantage of our mild weather on Monday and visited the zoo with some other friends. Love this photo my friend, Gail, took of the kids! And, we're so glad we made it to the zoo one more time...didn't think we'd be doing an outdoor activity in January.

Celebrating Christmas in LA
Right after Christmas, we headed to LA to visit my parents. The girls had a lot of fun opening their presents and just being at Mamaw and Papaw's house---they were so happy to be there after an 8 hour drive.
A happy Little M opening her presents.

NewYear's Eve Fireworks in LA---would be fun if we could do it in OK, but I'm sure it would be much colder!
During our visit to Mom and Dad's, we took a little road trip to Lafayette, LA. While we were there, we ate at some excellent restaurants and visited the Acadian Village. They weren't officially open while we were there, but we enjoyed walking around the grounds. We got some good photos of M&M that day too. You can check out info on Acadian Village at this site http://acadianvillage.org/.
Here's some of my favorite photos taken at Acadian Village:
We also visited St. John's Cathedral and received a very informative tour. Such an interesting place! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. http://www.saintjohncathedral.org/Our_Church.html

Christmas 2011 Fun
We started celebrating Christmas with Charley's family the weekend prior to Christmas. We had a good weekend visiting with Charley's Mom and then his Dad before staying over at Aunt Natalie's house.
Of course, Christmas for the Lingerfelts would not be complete without baking and decorating sugar cookies for Santa! M&M had a good time helping cut out and then decorate the cookies...Santa enjoyed eating them!
Charley read M&M a few Christmas/Winter books before bed on Christmas eve...so happy I caught a picture of it!
M&M hurrying down the stairs on Christmas morning to see if Santa had come overnight. Big M told us that she thought she heard Santa's sleigh bells through the night and knew he must have come.
M&M checked the North Pole Mailbox to make sure Santa got their letters and to see if he responded. Sure enough, he left them each a postcard.
Luckily, we had nice weather so the girls played outside and enjoyed the new plasmacar Santa had brought them. Big M also loved dancing with her new Dance with Me Baby and Little M couldn't wait to feed her Baby Alive doll.
It was a fun Christmas this year and full of so many blessings and fun moments with M&M. So thankful for our sweet girls!
