July 4th

We started our hot and steamy Independence Day with a bike ride in our neighborhood July 4 parade.  We decorated M&M's bikes with flags, patriotic flowers made from cupcake liners, and crepe paper streamers.  They had a lot of fun. After the parade, we joined our neighbors for fun on our street.  The street was blocked off so the kids could have fun on the inflatable water slide, the small pool, and on their bikes/scooters.  The "big adult kids"  had fun too!  There was lots of yummy food to eat and fireworks to watch during the whole weekend.  I think it was a memorable day for all!

Sunset Bible Camp

Big M attended her first overnight church camp last week.  It was the first time she has gone away from home for camp that included sleeping away from home.  Luckily,  Charley attended as a counselor this time, so it made me feel better about her being away from home even if it was for only 2 nights.  Big M had a wonderful time and she loved sharing her experiences canoeing, zip lining, swimming, sleeping on the top bunk in addition to singing and worshiping.  We are so glad she had a fun time with church friends and learning more about being a Christian.

They are ready to load up and go!
