Kindergarten Rocks!

Here's a video from Big M's end of the school year program, "Kindergarten Rocks!". The video includes her saying her small speaking part and the song that immediately follows.  It was a very cute program and some of those kindergartners sure were performers!
As I've heard most of my friends with school age kids say, "it's hard to believe another school year has gone by."  I have to agree.  It seems like only yesterday Big M was hopping onto the big, yellow school bus to begin her Kindergarten school year. She's learned so much, and we've had a wonderful year at her school.  She expressed a lot of sadness when she arrived home about missing her teacher, Mrs. Pearson, next year. Mrs. Pearson mentioned that Big M really held that final hug as she got on the bus for the last time this year.  Brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.  Here's to a great summer!

Dance Recital 2012

Dance recital was a lot of fun this year since both girls were able to dance on the big stage.  They both loved it!   Little M performed a ballet dance to Rainbow Connection and Big M tap danced to Bye, Bye Blackbird.

Taken on dance picture night...

Heading out the door to recital...forgot to put on Little M's tutu for the picture!

We were also excited to spend the weekend with family, including a surprise opportunity to see a friend from Stillwater that we hadn't seen in quite a while.

Kindergarten Zoo Trip

We had a fun day at the Tulsa Zoo last week during the annual Kindergarten zoo trip.  Big M enjoyed time with  Mom and her friends.  It was especially fun to walk through the rainforest building looking for the anaconda that had been moved to a temporary location. Once we found the anaconda, I laughed as Big M said "Ewww!". All of the excitement had worn off once she saw the gigantic snake.

Big M, Camryn, and Miraya--such cute girls!
