Spring Parade!!

Today Little M and I watched Big M in the Spring Parade held at her preschool, The Learning Center at Battle Creek (TLC). It was fun watching the kids wearing or holding their spring decorations.

Big M (wearing the pink sunglasses and purple shorts) walking in the parade followed by her favorite boy friend at school.

Each class had their own spring attire or item to hold in the parade. It was so neat!!

Gymnastics with Little M

For the last two Thursdays, Little M has been participating in a free Mommy and Me gymnastics class at a local church. She loves it! And, being the forgetful Mom that I can be, I kept forgetting to get some photos while we were there. The class is fun for the kids and a great way for me to meet some new Moms and get out of the house. The church, which offers Almighty Gymnastics, also has classes for older kids and offers a positive, God-centered atmosphere. I also love that they have 20-25 minutes of "free play" time followed by 5-10 minutes of organized activity, including a short lesson by the instructor on how to do a somersault, etc. Little M loves the class, which has really helped to get some of her energy out. If we let her, she would just do somersault after somersault. She also tried a handstand today! Here are a few photos, which aren't the best, since she was constantly moving:Rocking on the half-circle with Ms. Patty

HaPPy EAsTeR!!

Happy Easter! It's so great to hear Big M saying " Jesus is alive!! He is risen!!" She's been telling us about how Jesus rose 3 days after he died and has been sharing the excitement of Easter with us. Of course, she's patiently waited on the Easter bunny too....but we think she is starting to understand the real reason we celebrate Easter. :)

It was fun getting the girls dressed up in their new dresses. Little M seemed so proud of her dress--full skirt and all. We had a great day, which started off with a good Easter service at the church we just joined. Then we headed home to find that the Easter Bunny had delivered some goodies in the girls' baskets and hid their dyed eggs. They just couldn't figure out how he had done it!

We headed to Charley's Aunt Mary's and Uncle Ken's for a great Easter meal, which included another egg hunt and lots of fun visiting with family. It was a great day and so fun for us and the girls. Little M took a liking to Uncle Jerry, who helped her and Big M meet Baby the horse at Mary and Ken's. Too bad we didn't get some photos of all of them together! Big M loved the Monkey Bars that Uncle Ken had made when Charley and his cousins were younger. We left for home with two tired girls and even more candy....something I need to keep myself out of! Thanks for a great Easter day!
