Easter

I've been a little behind on blogging lately, but wanted to share some Easter pics of M&M.  We were a little less formal this year for our Easter attire, but the girls still had a Springtime look and enjoyed the day hunting eggs, attending church, and spending time with some neighborhood friends.

Spring Break Fun!

Spring Break travels involved visits to LA and Dallas this year.  While visiting Mamaw and Papaw, M&M had a chance to visit the Duck Commander Warehouse near my parents' home.  The front shop for purchasing souvenirs was small, but the girls got to see what has now become a popular tourist attraction in West Monroe, LA.  It was neat to see places that they have gone to during their visits as a part of the Duck Dynasty show on A&E.  The biggest thrill was seeing Uncle Si at the car wash my parents both use.  Little M was afraid of the big beard and wouldn't get her picture taken, but Big M was all for it!  

 

 

 

As usual, the girls enjoyed seeing and  playing with Emily.  She lives just a few doors down from Mamaw and Papaw.  They have so much fun together...and they love that Emily shares her backyard trampoline with them during their visits!

 

 

 

The big finale was a visit to the American Girl store near the Dallas Galleria.  The girls loved taking their dolls to the hair salon and eating at the bistro there.  And, all of the doll clothes and accessories were just so fun to see!  

 It was definitely a fun-filled week and one to remember. 



Pinot's Palette

Big M had lots of fun this last weekend during a family painting session at Pinot's Palette. Unfortunately, Little M could not join us since she wasn't old enough.   But, our little artist had a great time painting the class monkey and adding her own tidbit to the piece.  She can't wait to go paint there again!

Valentine Fun

I'm a little late, I know, but I wanted to share a couple of cute photos from Valentine's week...little M had a cute pose for me just before her performance in dance class the week of Valentine's Day and big M so sweetly smiled with her bag of Valentines from school.  A busy week and lots of fun!

Speech Therapy Graduation

Little M graduated from Speech Therapy this week.  We are so proud of the improvement that she has made over the last year.  She even told Bettina, the speech therapist,   "I can speak now".  While she didn't have significant speech impediments, we are so thankful for the thoughtful and caring therapy she has received.  Little M  loves, loves, loves Bettina and she will really miss her!

Crazy Hair and Silly Sock Day

Little M had Crazy Hair and Silly Sock Day at LLA last week.  I guess you could say our hair was a lot CRAZY and our socks a little SILLY.  We put several pony tails and braids along with spray glitter before heading off to school (you can't even see the spray glitter in our pics).  Little M's teacher helped make her hair just a little more crazy with pink hair spray. Little M just loved showing me her pink hair when I arrived for pick up.  Luckily, I took some pics of the before school and after school crazy hair.  We didn't take any pics of her socks as that just wasn't nearly as exciting!

Christmas Cookies

We had lots of fun making Christmas cookies this last weekend, which has become an annual Christmas tradition for us.  The girls are getting closer to being able to squeeze the icing onto the cookies on their own.  Can't wait until they are old enough to take a cake decorating class...would be so much fun for them!
