Kindergarten Visit to the BA Fire Station

Big M's Kindergarten class walked to the closest BA Fire Station today. It took about 20-25 minutes to walk there, which wasn't too bad, but there were lots of "tired feet" and hungry kids on the walk back to school. The kids enjoyed seeing where the firemen sleep, eat, and relax. They also got to walk through each of the fire trucks. Petite Mrs. Pearson put on a fireman's boots, suit, air tank, and helmet...altogether weighing at least 50 pounds. The kids really enjoyed their fire station outing today!

Easter

The girls loved dressing in pretty dresses for Easter this year. I loved being able to coordinate their attire just one more time...not sure how much longer I will get away with it! They hunted Easter eggs in their jammies so their pretty dresses wouldn't get messed up, finding the eggs quickly on the cool Easter morning. I've included a couple of other recent pics just because we thought they were cute! Hope you all had a happy Easter and enjoy the photos!

Big M's Journal: Passport

Over Spring Break, we took Big M to the US Post Office to get her passport for an upcoming surprise vacation this next fall. Since they take two passport photos, she brought the other one home with her. Not long after getting home, she came to me with a journal entry about her post office experience for March 22, 2012. You can see the version she wrote below (without any help from us) along with the drawing she added to the journal entry. It says: "I went to the post office. They took my picture. I loved it. Love, Morgan". So precious!

Spring Break Fashion Show

The M&M girls participated in the Kid's Fest Fashion Show at the Tulsa Hills Belk last Saturday. They were both excited to pick out their clothes and walk down the "runway" for the show before it started. Once it was time to do the actual walk, Little M grabbed the hand of a Belk worker and took off down the runway with all of her spunk and sassiness. Big M followed, but the look on her face was a cross between being mad and embarassed... almost frowning. Luckily, the picture we got caught her with a happier face! You can see the girls individual photos below as well as one of the two of them together taken when the fashion show was over.

Peace, Love, and Roller Skate!

We had a great time Big M's birthday party the last weekend in February. She celebrated with about 30 friends from school, church, and the neighborhood. Most of the kids had never skated before, but all seemed to have a good time especially with the help of a "skate assist" or a Mom/Dad's hand.

My Little Dollhouse

We enjoyed President's Day with friends at My Little Dollhouse. It was so much fun for the girls to play dress-up, have a fashion show, bounce in the castle, and get their nails done.

Little M's Valentine's Day Party

There's nothing like spending an hour with two and three year olds as they celebrate Valentine's Day! Little M enjoyed decorating the heart sugar cookie and eating the sweet treats at her party.

All of the kids enjoyed playing the Valentine Bean Bag Toss. It was a great game for them to play!!

They also enjoyed coloring heart finger puppets. Afterwards, they had storytime, just like they do on any other day. The day wouldn't be complete without it. So much fun and so glad I could be there!!
