Bowling on Bedlam

We took advantage of a cold, rainy morning to take M&M bowling. Coincidentally, it was also Bedlam game day for OSU and OU. We all sported our orange and black and luckily took one of the last two lanes available to play...we didn't realize there was a huge bowling tournament going on in BA that day! M&M both had a good time thanks to the bumpers. It was big help for Charley and I too! We had a fun day...started off with bowling and finished with a big win by OSU!!

Thanksgiving Day

It's so hard to believe we just had Thanksgiving and Christmas is just around the corner...we spent most of the day in Guthrie with Charley's family and then went on to OKC to see my family. Since we had a pretty nice day to be outside, the girls had a good time gathering up Aunt Mary and Uncle Ken's leaves into a big pile. Of course, they didn't stay in a nice, clean pile for long. The best part was jumping in!

M&M were also able to spend time with their cousins that they hadn't seen since last year.

Here's a photo of our family along with Charley's Mom and his brother Danny's family.

Little M is Three!!

It's hard to believe that this sweet little girl has grown up and just turned 3! She's gone from a little baby...

to our dramatic, wild child! She really admired her Minnie Mouse cake on party day. So glad she liked it!!

She loves her new Barbie bike! Even Barbie will be able to ride along...

It was lots of fun celebrating!

Pumpkin Town and Carving a Pumpkin

We visited Pumpkin Town a few weeks ago so Big M could pick out a pumpkin. Her school did not do a field trip to the pumpkin patch, so we had to get her a "pumpkin patch" experience. The girls had fun at Pumpkin Town, mostly due to the pumpkin launcher, train ride, slides, and great picture taking opportunities. Here are a few photos...you'll notice Little M likes to "pose" in some of her photos.

Let the carving begin...

And, here she is...Big M wanted a pumpkin that looked like one Fancy Nancy had created in one of her books. Our jack o' lantern had big eyelashes and big lipstick lips. So girly, but what can you expect of our sweet girls!

Go Pokes!!

We had a great time visiting Stillwater for the OSU vs. KU game on October 8 this year. OSU scored 70 points to KU's 28---a blow away! It was a great day, although we could have done without the downpour right after half time. M&M loved meeting Bullet, tailgating with Ms. Kathy and Mr. Andy, and seeing the band/cheerleaders. And, saying they liked their painted cheeks is definitely an understatement! Big M's Kindergarten class pet, Marvin the Monkey, joined us for all of the festivities and had quite a lot to write about in his weekend journal. We are all so excited that OSU is having a great football season!

Sunflowers!!

The little sunflower seed grew and grew and grew! If you need an easy, fun gardening project, then we've got one for you! The girls had so much with the tiny seeds that eventually grew into the sunflower plants in our front flower beds. Unbelievably, the sunflowers reached the eaves of the house and the flowers were very large. Once the seeds in the center of the flower had matured, Charley cut the flower off of the plant and roasted the shells/seeds. They tasted just like the ones you would buy at the store and it was so much fun for the girls to see the whole process! And, they were super simple to grow!

Camping at the Zoo

Charley took Big M to the Tulsa zoo for an overnight camping experience a couple of weekends ago. The "Starry Safari" was a lot of fun for her, although we didn't exactly have the best weather for camping! She loved the extra time at the zoo without a lot of other people. No waiting for the carousel or the train. And, you can't beat an ooey, gooey s'more!

I'm not sure how fun it would be getting a morning wake-up from one of these guys!

Fun on the Carousel
